The Benjamin Blessing
Benjamin was the last son of Jacob, whom Jesus renamed Israel, or obedient believer. Benjamin was the only son named by his father, who gave him a prophetic name that applies to the last generation of obedient members of the Body of Christ and, when claimed by meeting face to face with Jesus, opens the door to astounding blessings. All obedient members worldwide of Jesus’ body, the church, are invited to participate in a special fast for the release from poverty and lack, and for the release of this blessing. Due to popular demand, we are inviting all obedient members of the body of Christ worldwide, who missed the first two fasts, to do a group fast on Sunday, March 25, 2012. The explanation of this fast follows along with the communion to be done at the conclusion of the fast. The communion itself is posted on Freedom Blog on both sites.
We believe the worldwide fast God has led us to proclaim for all who consider themselves obedient members of the body of Christ worldwide will bring an opportunity for astounding breakthrough for those who are willing to receive God’s prophetic promise of what we call “The Benjamin Blessing.” We will explain as we use portions of our apostle’s Bible study on this subject, adding verses as we finish with the communion we plan to do at 6PM after the fast. We impose no requirements for the fast. Fasting is a personal matter; however, we normally would skip at least one or two meals, drinking water or perhaps juices, eating no food for a period that would usually involve eating an early supper Saturday evening, March 24. We suggest you start your fast at 6 PM and break the fast at 6 PM on Sunday since this is not a holy day where God fixes the time as with the Day of Atonement. Ending the fast with praise songs adds power to the fast. Circumstances and time zones may change the hours other members of the body keep this fast. However and however long you choose to fast, we appreciate your agreement for this breakthrough fast, since we believe it will be a turning point for this end-time, remnant generation of believers.
Benjamin was the only son Jacob named himself (Gen. 35:18). This last son of Israel received his name, “son I’m sorry about,” from Rachel. Israel decided to name him Benjamin, “son (or strength) of my right hand (of authority).” It was a prophetic name. Benjamin was the last-born, so he represents the last generation of Israel, the believers in the last days.
Jacob had his name changed when he met “face to face” with God (Gen. 32:30). We meet face to face with Jesus when we give Him our problems at the new moon, as well as when we fast for the breaking of yokes (Isa. 58:6). As Jacob when he wrestled with Jesus, we see what we are without Jesus. We come into His presence on the Sabbath, but on the new moon we come face to face with Him. He says in effect, “Give your all to Me, and I will make you a new you,” as was the case with Jesus. If we want to follow Jesus, we must at some time in our life come face to face with Him.
Joseph was a type of Jesus in many ways. It is believed he was sixteen when his brothers sold him into slavery, the age at which he was unusually favored to be put in charge of Potiphar’ house (Gen. 39:4). Tradition says that Jesus’ father Joseph died when Jesus was sixteen, at which time He took over the headship of his house. At thirty, Joseph was made like a god in Egypt, with authority that rivaled Pharaoh’s (Gen. 41:38-46), the same age at which Jesus began to walk in His authority.
While it may or may not have been on a new moon, by the time Manasseh was born, Joseph had laid down all his trouble, including the betrayal of his family, to Jesus (Gen. 41:51). This opened the door for him to see his brothers again.
The important matter to understand (Gen. 42:20; 43:5) is that no provision could be given to the sons of Israel until Benjamin would appear face to face before Joseph (who symbolized Jesus). It is also important to note the provision Benjamin received since he symbolized the last generation of believers. Joseph blessed Benjamin with the great blessing of the Hebrew word chanan (“gracious,” Gen. 43:29).
Not only did Benjamin receive the second most powerful blessing a Hebrew word can convey, but also “Benjamin’s portion was five times as much as any of theirs” (Gen. 43:34). But Benjamin had to present himself face to face with Joseph (Jesus) before that five-fold blessing could come.
Through this fast we present ourselves face to face before Jesus as did Benjamin before Joseph. We are to call on Jesus to break the yoke of poverty and lack brought in by Adam’s sin (Gen. 3:17-19; Isa. 58:6), but even more importantly we are to call forth the Benjamin blessing, declaring that we desire to position ourselves to receive it. We are to call forth Benjamin in the last days, calling forth the Benjamin blessing so we can reflect the light of God in order for the world to see it (Isa. 60:1-3).
What this “five times” greater blessing at the end time signifies is awesome. It is there for the asking for those who desire it and want to receive it. What God offers is the release to those who truly desire it the fullness of all the graces of God to do His Work, not simply those we are comfortable using. The power released will be five times greater than anything we’ve seen in history, the wealth five times greater than anything we have imagined. We will see five times the provision for doing God’s Work, five times the power for healing miracles, and five times the miracle-working power that Jesus displayed (Dan. 11:32; John 14:12). We will also have access to five times the knowledge, wisdom, and discernment (Dan. 12:10), and five times the harvest of souls. The main power will be the power of miracles.
We are called to be the last days Benjamin sitting at the right hand of Jesus in His authority as Benjamin’s name implies. The graces of God those who are willing are destined to receive will assure them of the love of our Father, the lack of which is the main reason believers walk in fear. This will be the first time this church has broken off the curse of poverty and lack brought on by Adam’s sin, stating that we will no longer allow the mindset of poverty to limit us.
Communion Service
Father, we take our place with Jesus in the heavenlies, washed and cleansed by His blood, forgiven of all our sins. We take the mace of Jesus and ask Your blessing on this unleavened bread and wine (or juice) to be the body and blood of Jesus. (Pass out the body.)
In this body we call forth the prophesied “Benjamin,” the last generation of believers. We choose to be a part of the Benjamin blessing of five times the miracle-working power that Jesus indicated in John 14:12 when He said we would do greater works for the Kingdom of God than He did on Earth.
We choose to be of those “who receive the abundance of grace [all twenty-five graces of God] and of the gift of righteousness” and of those who “will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ” (Rom. 5:17). We agree with Paul, who said, “I thank my God always concerning you for the grace of God which was given you in Christ Jesus” (1 Cor. 1:4). We acknowledge that Jesus is the Grace in us, the empowerment to do all things in Him (Phil. 4:13), and we want more of Jesus in these last days. We know that our Father “is able to make all grace abound” in us so that we have “all sufficiency in everything” in order that we “may have an abundance for every good deed” (2 Cor. 9:8). We “will be enriched in everything for all liberality” (9:11).
We accept our identity in Jesus and our identity as the last days Benjamin generation that will use the authority of Jesus and all of their Father’s graces to preach the gospel of the Kingdom of Love in the whole world and disciple believers according to their specific anointing (Mat. 24:24; Mat. 28:19-20). Since each of us has received a special gift, we choose to “employ it in serving one another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God” (1 Pet. 4:10).
We choose to forgive Adam and Eve for bringing the curse of poverty and lack on the whole Earth because of their sin. That sin caused all to fight for survival and caused men to toil for their provision by the sweat of their brow rather than trust in You for provision. The Eden You created signified peace and total provision. We ask forgiveness for having accepted this curse and the mindset of poverty. We declare that all of our sins and Adam and Eve’s sins are forgiven, in Jesus’ name.
We hereby reject and break off this curse of poverty and lack. We bind up all the demons enforcing this curse, including cruelty, shame, and control, in chains of confusion. We cut them off from all support, cancel their assignments, destroy all their weapons, burn up their slime, and we send them back to the pit, in Jesus’ name.
We rejoice in the freedom from this curse. We choose as the Body of Christ and as individuals to walk in Your love that casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). We declare that the poverty we had previously accepted is not part of the work of Your Kingdom of Love. We choose not to accept any part of that poverty and lack in our lives. We thank You, Father, for the grace to change our mindset to no longer accept poverty and lack.
You who have graciously given us Jesus have promised to “freely give us all things” (Rom. 8:32). You are the God “who richly supplies us with all things to enjoy” (1 Tim. 6:17). “Wealth and riches are in [our] house” (Ps. 112:3). “…the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous” (Prov. 13:22). We choose to “devote to [Jesus] their unjust gain And their wealth to the [Divine Master] of all the earth” (Micah 4:13).“Great wealth is in the house of the righteous” (Prov. 15:6). We now accept this truth: “It is the blessing of [Jesus] that makes rich, And He adds no sorrow [painful toil] to it” (Prov. 10:22).
We call for the former and latter rains (Joel 2:23; Isa. 45:8; Zech. 10:1; James 5:7) of righteousness and glory to meet each other in an end-time outpouring of Your glory on us, Your holy ones. We declare that the glory of this latter house (Hag. 2:9) will be greater than any former glory.
As we take the body, we rejoice in the breaking of this curse, claiming the covenant with our father Abraham of prosperity in Yashua Yireh, our Provider in all things. We break and take the body.
(Pass out the blood) We lift this cup of Jesus’ blood in thanksgiving that what we have claimed according to Your will is sealed in His blood and His blood shields us from all backlash and backlash (First drink).
In this last drink of the blood of Jesus, we declare, “To the rising up of the Benjamin generation and to the Kingdom of Love and prosperity!” (Second drink).
We pray briefly in the spirit… we receive all we have asked for, Father, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
