FreedomTruthSeekers:
"Caught in the Trap of Pornography"

Our world and our media are inundated with sexual perversions. Government and mainstream media treat sexual dysfunctions and deviations as perfectly normal. If we do not agree that these are normal and to be accepted, we are considered to be abnormal and intolerant Bible thumpers, biased against activities that God clearly calls sins, even abominations. While we are to love those who are so affected, we are not to accept and agree with their sin but to pray for their repentance. How do we deal with this rampant perversion in our society? Series runs from February 24th to March 9th on FreedomTruthSeekers.com.

Do You Hate the Real Jesus?

If you have been reading our captivating blog, Freedom Blog, you have noticed that the teens who have been abused by their fathers, especially those who have not forgiven their fathers, almost always use the term “father” for their dads. They never call him dad. Why? The reason is that they associate dad with love and see a father as a harsh enforcer of cruel punishment.

That’s the way most people see the God of what they falsely call “the Old Testament.” They see Him as the Father who is a harsh enforcer and Jesus who they believe came for the first time in the New Testament, as a God of love. They fail to realize that the cruel Father they tend to fear in the First Testament is actually the same Jesus who came in the Second Testament. They see “those Old Testament laws” as outdated and too hard to keep, especially the fourth or Sabbath commandment. Yet Jesus clearly said, “If you love Me, you will keep My commandments” (John 14:15).

If you are not keeping the commandments of Jesus in the First Testament in love, how can you say that you love Jesus? And if you do not love Him, does that not mean that you hate Him?

Yahweh or Yahovah (the Eternal) refers to every member of the Godhead.  This Hebrew YHVH, however, is used almost exclusively in the Hebrew Scriptures to mean the One who became Jesus.  Compare the following pairs of verses with each other (Isa. 8:13 and 1 Pet. 2:7; Isa. 48:12 and Rev. 22:13; Ps. 23:1 and John 10:11; Isa. 43:1 and Mat. 1:21; Isa. 40:3 and Mat. 3:3.)

Jesus was the spiritual Rock who was Israel’s Rearguard (1 Cor. 10:4; Deut. 32:4).  The clincher is John 1:1-18.  Jesus was the Word who created all things by His spoken words (Gen. 1:3, 26; Heb. 1:2; Col. 1:16) and who spoke to men in the period from Adam to the birth of Jesus as a man.  He later became flesh.  He declared that no one had ever seen or heard the Father whom He came to reveal (John 1:18; 5:37; 6:46; 14:7; 17:25-26), and yet men did see and hear Yahweh as a man (Gen. 3:8-9; 18:1-3; Gen. 32:24-28; Josh. 5:13-14; Judges 2:1-5; 6:11-24; 13:3, 21-22;) and in glorified form from the back (Ex. 3:1-6; 33:18-23). The Father will only come down to live on the Earth when it has been purified from all sin (Rev. 21:4, I Cor. 15:24).

God’s intimate ones in the period recorded by the Hebrew Scriptures knew of the Father (Dan. 7:13; Psalm 2; Prov. 30:4). David refers to the Father (“the Eternal”) who tells David’s Adonai or Divine Master to sit at His right hand (Ps. 110:1; Mat. 22:44).  The Eternal who was on the Earth at that moment (Jesus) and the Eternal in heaven (the Father) are even contrasted in Genesis 19:24. And the Trinity is revealed in the Hebrew section of God’s Instruction Book (Gen. 1:26, Isa. 48:16).  In John 8:52-59, Jesus tells his critics they did not know the Father, and they picked up stones to kill Him when He said, “… before Abraham was born, I am.”

Can you see your Father in heaven as the Daddy Love He is? You can’t if you see the God of the First Testament as a harsh and cruel father who loves to smite people at a whim. Unless and until you discover the real Jesus as the God of the Hebrew Scriptures and come to know and love Him in all the aspects of His character, you cannot know and love the Father and turn your heart to Him in these last days. Jesus said He was the Door to the Father, and the Sabbath day is the doorway to intimacy with Jesus.

Isn’t it time you got to know the real Jesus? Since He is the Word, it is no coincidence that you read of Him, about Him, and hear from Him in every part of the Bible. Why not open up Genesis to Malachi and discover Someone you need to know? Why not begin to show you love Him by keeping all His commandments of love, including those in the first three-fourths of the Bible?

If you have been hating the real Jesus without realizing it, it’s repentance time. Ask forgiveness of your Father Love, your Daddy, Abba Father, and turn this hatred over to Jesus on the cross at the new moon. As you begin to keep the Sabbath and the other commandments of Jesus, you will be able to turn your heart to Daddy Love and receive all the blessings He has for you in these last days.
